Vertical Transfer Examination and Conditions

Students who achieve the required score in Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) held by the Centre for Assessment, Selection and Placement (CASP – ÖSYM), prefer to study at Beykent University, and are placed at Beykent University by the CASP can become Beykent University students once they have completed their final registration process.

Students who have graduated from Vocational Schools or received an associate degree from the Faculties of Open Education may benefit from vertical transfer opportunity and proceed to formal education and undergraduate programmes of the Faculty of Open Education. Besides, senior students who have met all the requirements of graduation except for traineeship may also benefit from vertical transfer opportunity.

Vocational School graduates or senior students must take the Vertical Transfer Exam to proceed to undergraduate programmes which admit students through Special Talent Examination in their respective fields, or the CASP (ÖSYM) Examination.

 

Additional placement process is carried out by CASP (ÖSYM) if the candidates do not select any departments or do not carry out the final registration at the departments they have been placed based on the Vertical Transfer Examination results.

If the courses taken during Associate Degree education by the students who are eligible to proceed to Bachelor’s Degree programmes are deemed equivalent to the courses at those Bachelor’s Degree programmes, they are exempted from those courses and the compulsory courses are determined based on the credits received. Following their enrolment at their respective departments and registering for their compulsory courses, students are granted permission to continue their studies. For the departments whose medium of instruction is a foreign language or the departments which prerequire a Foreign Language Preparatory Programme, students must either pass the Placement Test or complete the Preparatory Programme successfully. Students are subject to the University’s Education Regulations during Preparatory School and Undergraduate Degree. Vertical Transfer Students continue their education according to Article 44 of Law No. 2547.

  4. Printout of the Vertical Transfer Examination Result
  5. Photocopy of both sides of the ID Card
  6. Transcript of Records (Certified),
  7. Course contents (Certified),
  8. Certificate taken from the authorised military recruiting centre showing that the military service of the relevant person is delayed or completed. (This certificate is not required for those who were born in 1997 and later.)

Online Pre-registration Form: Students are required to fill out the pre-registration form on and bring the printout of the signed document when they come to the campus for registration.
