Pre-Major ProceduresProcedures of Senate regarding the Pre-Major Procedures to be established in Course Plan Changes as of the Academic Year 2019 – 2020 In the event of replacement of a new course due to the Course Plan Change: Students who received a grade between AA-DD from the course they take are exempt from new courses (Names and credits of removed courses remain unchanged.) Students who failed the removed courses must take the new courses (Grades received from the removed courses will be replaced with the grades of new courses.). Students who had not taken the removed courses must take the new courses.Students who passed the courses successfully or conditionally can take the new courses which are replaced with the removed ones to improve their grades (Grades received from the removed courses will be replaced with the grades of new courses.). Note: If the ECTS credits for the new courses are lower than the removed courses, ECTS credits students collect will be accordingly lower. Therefore, students must take an additional course newly added to the course plan to collect the total of ECTS credits from the compulsory or elective courses to be eligible for graduation. Elective coursesStudents can take one of the elective courses.Once students pass the removed courses they take, they don’t have to take new courses. Once students fail the courses they take, they can take the same courses again, or they can take an alternative one (Grades received from the courses will be replaced with the grades of new courses.). Student who passed the courses they took successfully or conditionally can take the same courses again, or take an alternative one to improve their grades (Grades received from the removed courses will be replaced with the grades of new courses.). In case that a course is involved in an under-class course plan due to a change in Course Plan:Students who received a grade between AA-DD from the course they take are exempt from new courses involved in an under-class course plan (The transcripts remain unchanged). Students who failed the removed courses must take the new courses. Students who have not taken the courses must take the new courses. Student who passed the courses they take successfully or conditionally can take the same courses again, or take an alternative one to improve their grades. In case that a course is involved in an upper-class course plan due to a change in Course Plan:Students who received a grade between AA-DD from the course they take are exempt from new courses involved in an upper-class course plan (The transcripts remain unchanged). Students who failed the removed courses must take the new courses. Students who have not taken the removed courses must take the new courses. Student who have passed the courses they took successfully or conditionally can take the new courses to improve their grades. In case of adding a new course/courses in a course plan which was/were not involved in the previous Course Plan:If students cannot receive the total ECTS credits to be eligible for graduation, they must take the course/courses.
