Prof. Dr. Hasan Asan’s solo poster exhibition titled Meaning and Image was opened to art lovers at Taksim Campus Art Gallery, Istanbul Beykent University The solo poster exhibition titled Meaning and Image by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hasan Asan, faculty member in the Department of Cartoon and Animation at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Topkapı University, was opened to art lovers at the Istanbul Beykent University Taksim Campus Art Gallery between 24 April and 8 May 2025. The exhibition, which was opened with a speech by Prof. Dr. Hamdi Ünal, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, was well received by the attendees. The exhibition adopts an interdisciplinary approach to theories of meaning and image production in the fields of graphic design and visual communication, showcasing the artist’s original poster designs, which reflect his academic and artistic background. In these works, shaped within a conceptual framework, the semiotic dimensions of the image and its communication with the audience are reinterpreted on an aesthetic basis. The exhibition offers researchers, artists, and students interested in visual culture, art theory, and graphic narrative forms an opportunity to critically engage with and evaluate the works on display. The exhibition will remain on display at the Art Gallery of Istanbul Beykent University Taksim Campus until 8 May 2025.
