Date: 25 March 2025 The ‘Design with VR’ exhibition, organised by our university’s Department of Interior Architecture (TR), was opened to visitors. The exhibition titled ‘Virtual Reality Applications in Interior Architecture Design Education – Design with VR’, organised by the Department of Interior Architecture (TR) of Istanbul Beykent University, was opened to visitors at Sarıyer Municipality. The exhibition titled ‘Virtual Reality Applications in Interior Architecture Design Education – Design with VR’ was opened in the foyer area on the first floor of Sarıyer Municipality. The exhibition demonstrated how virtual reality technology is used in interior architecture education and how this innovative approach is transforming the learning experience. Since 2022, the Department of Interior Architecture (TR) within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture has been using VR glasses in design studios, integrating virtual reality applications into the educational process. Students’ ability to test the spaces they designed in a virtual environment and to instantly share these experiences with others led to the creation of experiential projects and ultimately gave rise to the exhibition. The exhibition featured projects designed in virtual environments by 3rd- and 4th-year students of the Department of Interior Architecture (TR) as part of their design studio courses. Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to experience the event both physically and through virtual reality. Parents of the students who visited the exhibition had the opportunity to explore the interiors designed by their children using VR glasses and expressed their satisfaction with the experience. The three-day exhibition showcased the effectiveness and interactivity of virtual reality applications in interior architecture education.
