Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Istanbul Beykent University and Azerbaijan University

A bilateral cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Beykent University and Azerbaijan University to strengthen academic collaboration. Within the scope of the protocol, significant steps were taken to enhance collaboration between the two institutions in various fields.
Istanbul Beykent University and Azerbaijan University held a meeting on 12 May 2025 to discuss areas of collaboration. At the meeting, attended by Dr. Erkan Çelik, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Beykent University, Rector Prof. Dr. Volkan Öngel, Director of International Relations Aybala Yavuzarslan and the Dean of Students Serhat Butur, arrangements for students were discussed.

As part of the meeting, an important agreement was signed to strengthen academic collaboration between the two universities. The agreement was signed by Istanbul Beykent University Rector Prof. Dr. Volkan Öngel and Azerbaijan University Rector Dr. Saadat Aliyeva.

Within the framework of the agreement, it was agreed to exchange students and academic staff, develop joint scientific projects, organise academic events and collaborate on various research activities.

During the discussions, both rectors provided information about their universities, international accreditation processes, areas of expertise and collaborations. During the meeting, where the establishment of double degree programmes was also discussed, the parties emphasised their strategic goals.
