The Department of New Media aims to educate creative media specialists who are can use communication skills effectively, meet the needs of the modern communication era, and have knowledge about New Media.

Students of the Department of New Media at our Faculty of Communication are given courses related to new communication tools (digital media, applications, etc.).

Graduates of the Department of New Media acquire knowledge and perspective about the multidisciplinary nature of communication with a variety of theoretical and practical lessons including subjects such as online journalism, digital publishing, e-government applications, social networking services (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.), and they also develop a critical eye for cultural and social life. 

English Preparatory Programme is compulsory for this 4-year Programme. If they pass the Placement and Proficiency Test , admitted students can be exempted from the English Preparatory Programme and proceed to the first year of their Department.
