The 4-year Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to equip the students with the skills to solve the technical problems related to Mechanical Engineering without help.
In addition to fundamental sciences and fundamental engineering courses, students of Mechanical Engineering are given the opportunity to receive an education tailored for their own skills and talents with elective courses.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering (Turkish) is a 4-year Programme and its medium of instruction is English. English Preparatory Programme is compulsory. If they pass the Placement and Proficiency Test , admitted students can be exempted from the, English Preparatory Programme and proceed to the first year of their Department.
There is also a Turkish-medium Department of Mechanical Engineering.
