The Department of Turkish Language and Literature educates prospective graduates who have a substantial knowledge about the history of Turkish language and Turkish literature, pay attention to the careful, correct and efficient use of Turkish, and use the knowledge and skills they have acquired for effective communication.
Students of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature are subject to an educational programme covering a wide range of elective courses to contribute to their cultural and intellectual development, in addition to Ottoman Turkish courses.
English Preparatory Programme is optional for the Department of Turkish Language and Literature.
