Application and Registration

Documents Required for Application

1) Online Application Form, 

2) English or Turkish translation of the high school diploma which must be authenticated by the relevant embassy or a notary (If the candidate has not graduated yet, an official letter to be issued by the principal indicating that the candidate is a senior student in high school.), 

3) ID card or the passport page indicating the identity information of the applicant (If any, the page(s) indicating the visa(s) must be included.), 

4) If any, a copy of a high school exit examination recognised by the Council of Higher Education (Abitur, International Baccalaureate, GCE, Tawjihi, etc.) or a copy of a university admission test (SAT, etc.) which must be issued within the last two years, 

5) To apply for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, C1 Turkish Certificate; for other departments, B2 Turkish Certificate is required (Those applicants who have completed the last three years of their secondary education at a high school in Turkey that offers Turkish-medium instruction are not required to submit a Turkish Proficiency Certificate.), and

6) For Turkish students who have completed their secondary education in a foreign country (except for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) and Turkish students who have dual citizenship, a document indicating the foreign country entry and exits to prove their presence in the relevant country throughout their studies is required to ascertain whether the student has completed their formal secondary education. 

Documents Required for Registration

a) Original of the high school diploma or the interim certificate of graduation if the diploma has not been issued yet, 

b) Original of the “Certificate of Equivalence” to be issued by the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in the student’s country or the Turkish Ministry of National Education indicating that the student’s high school diploma is equivalent to those obtained by a Turkish high school,  

c) Photocopy of the passport,  

d) Other additional documents requested by the University depending on the associate/undergraduate degree programme the student has applied for, 

e) 6 passport photographs (in colour),  

f) For the candidates residing outside Turkey, a “Visa Annotated for Study” to be obtained by the Turkish Consulate in their country may be required (If there is no Turkish Consulate in their country, they can obtain a visa from any Turkish Consulate in the nearest country.). 

g) For Turkish students who have completed their secondary education in a foreign country (except for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) and Turkish students who have dual citizenship, a document indicating the foreign country entry and exits to prove their presence in the relevant country throughout their studies is required to ascertain whether the student has completed their formal secondary education.

* For those students who will obtain their Certificate of Equivalence from the Turkish Ministry of National Education in Turkey, the following documents are required by the Ministry: 

1) Turkish translation of the high school diploma which must be authenticated by a notary or the Turkish diplomatic representations abroad,

2) The diploma and the original of the transcript with an apostille. If an apostille is not available in the country, the diploma must be certified by the Turkish Ministry of National Education, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or a Turkish Embassy, or a document to be issued by the relevant ministries or embassies indicating that the student has been eligible to receive an equivalent diploma.
